Building a Skilled and Compassionate Aged Care Workforce

A safe, ethical pathway linking motivated PNG talent to critical aged care needs in Australia.

The Care Gap: Two Sides of the Same Problem

On one side is Australia:

  • An ageing population, demanding more care.
  • Aged care homes struggling to find and keep qualified, compassionate staff.
  • Burnout, high turnover, and not enough Certificate III qualified workers.

Without enough trained people on the floor, promises of dignity and person-centred care are hard to keep.

On the other side is Papua New Guinea:

  • Young people full of energy, heart and resilience.
  • Limited access to quality training and clear, reliable job pathways.
  • Motivated youth with crisis level unemployment, seeking career pathway.

We see two shortages: A shortage of carers in Australia and a shortage of opportunity in PNG.

Our program is the bridge:

One solution that addresses both problems.

From PNG Student to Australian Carer: Our 6-Step Pathway

We provide a clear, supported pathway from “good heart” to “good work” in the Australian aged care system.

1

1. Ethical Recruitment & Screening in PNG

We identify young people with the right character, motivation and basic education to work in aged care, often from underprivileged backgrounds.

2

2. Australian Certificate III Training

Students are trained toward Certificate III in NDIS and Individual Support (Aged Care), using curricula aligned with Australian standards and expectations, delivered by our certified partners.

3

3. Practical, Hands-On Placements

Supervised placements and practical training prepare students for real work with the ageing population and with people with disabilities, covering communication, personal care, safety, and dignity of care.

4

4. Structured Migration & Support

We manage medical checks, visa applications, flights, and secure accommodation – ensuring a legal, ethical, structured pathway to Australia.

5

5. Employment & Workforce Integration

Graduates seamlessly integrate into NDIS and Australian aged care sector, filling critical workforce needs with stable, highly-motivated staff.

6

6. Ongoing Pastoral Care & Retention

Once in Australia, students receive ongoing support to help them adapt, settle, and grow into long-term, confident care professionals within the Australian community, ensuring high retention.

Our Training Partner
The Sisters of Mary, Help of Christians

At the heart of our program are the Sisters of Mary, Help of Christians, part of the Saint Don Bosco family.

Since 1909, the Sisters have been one of the most influential educational and vocational forces for marginalised young women in Papua New Guinea. They have helped thousands complete high school and progress into further education and vocational careers.

  • Curriculum aligned with the Queensland Educational Framework.
  • All Sisters are qualified teachers, many with dual vocational qualifications.
  • They currently operate schools, clinics and dormitories across New Britain, New Ireland and Port Moresby.

“The fully trained Sisters will train all PNG students to Australian Certificate IIIstandards in NDIS and aged care.”

A Saint Don Bosco family approved Partnership with Australians that care, Backed by UNSW

The partnership underwent a rare, multi-stage international approval process from the highest order between PNG and the Philippines representing a milestone in ethical development.

UNSW Ethics and Oversight

  • Australians that care completed an 18-month ethics, legal and integrity review with the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
  • The Sisters completed a 6-month UNSW certification to become recognised social-data collectors, ensuring data integrity.

Together, these create an unmatched foundation of trust, legitimacy and educational quality.

Auditable Capital Flow: The Performance-Linked Mechanism

Our investment model is built on an irrefutable performance framework, where the deployment of capital is strictly governed by the completion of auditable milestones, validated on a secure, private ledger.
